2022 Gartner® Market Guide for Intralogistics Smart Robotics

Intralogistics smart robots (ISRs) come in a wide variety of forms to support warehousing needs. To help supply chain leaders better understand this broad market and how to properly invest in material handling automation (MHA) systems, Gartner offers its latest “Market Guide for Intralogistics Smart Robots.” Analysts outline ISR vendors and their capabilities, as well as key findings that illustrate how vital robotics are in today’s business world:
- “Ninety-five percent of supply chain organizations say they have invested, or plan to invest, in cyber-physical automation (CPA), and a significant percentage of these plant to use ISRs.
- Sixty-six percent of supply chain organizations say that labor availability constraints are the primary driver behind their investment in robotics.
- ISRs are not one-size-fits-all, and specific use cases will determine the appropriate robot platform.”
By 2026, 75% of large enterprises in product-centric businesses will have adopted some form of intralogistics smart robots in their warehouse operations.
